We studied the friction performance of polycarbonate solid sheets under different processing conditions and found that when the sliding direction is perpendicular to the melt flow direction, the amount of wear is relatively small. It is concluded that the injection time is five seconds; the melt temperature is two hundred and ninety degrees; the mold temperature is eighty degrees, and the sliding direction is parallel to the melt flow direction. These are some parameters when the wear of the polycarbonate solid sheet is the smallest.
We conducted fatigue tests on the polycarbonate solid sheet and found that on the fatigue brittle fracture surface of the long glass fiber polycarbonate solid sheet reinforced with nylon, the glass fiber is still wrapped by the matrix, while on the fatigue brittle fracture surface of the glass fiber reinforced polycarbonate, the glass fiber has basically been peeled off from the PC matrix. This phenomenon shows that the bonding force between glass fiber and PC is much smaller than that between glass fiber and PA, which shows that polycarbonate solid sheet has strong fatigue resistance.
With the above sample basis, we know what kind of polycarbonate solid sheet is good, and its friction resistance and fatigue resistance are relatively excellent. This makes the polycarbonate solid sheet play a stronger and better role in different application fields.
