Performance of polycarbonate solid sheet in sound insulation applications

polycarbonate solid sheet has excellent characteristics such as fire resistance, insulation, and easy cutting in building use, and is one of the most commonly used materials for building skylights. After processing, PC endurance panels can be made into ceiling panels or skylight materials. Generally, endurance boards between 3mm-10mm are wrapped with fire-resistant and transparent fabrics after being cured with glue around the edges to form a beautiful and easy to install lighting material. The common sizes are 1.2mx1.2m, 1.2mx0.6m, and 0.6mx0.6m.

In large spaces such as sports halls and workshops, sound-absorbing materials mainly made of polycarbonate solid sheets are often used for sound absorption and noise reduction. Sound absorbers can be made into plate-like, columnar, conical, or other irregular shapes according to requirements.
In road sound barriers, in order to prevent noise reflection, sound absorption measures need to be taken on the side facing the vehicle, often using polycarbonate solid sheet as the filling material and perforated metal plate as the surface layer of the barrier board.
