The Innovative Plastics Business Unit of Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) recently announced that its LEXAN THERMOCLEAR polycarbonate (PC) hollow sunshine panels have been first applied to the newly built Gremio Arena in Brazil. This colored 10mm panel is used to make the roof. It is understood that the light color and high reflectivity of this panel help reduce the impact of heat and reduce the dependence on cooling systems. At the same time, it is easy to handle, cut, and install. Coupled with the lightweight nature of the panel and the affordable price of sunshine panels, it can significantly save on shipping costs and reduce installation costs. All of these factors will help further reduce the environmental impact of the Gremio Arena.
